So these sheets let me ditch the big plastic laundry jug but one of the ingredients of the sheets themselves is Polyvinyl Alcohol which is a petroleum derived 'dissolvable plastic.' Not biodegradable so we still end up with microplastics in our water, bodies and oceans. Fragments of semi-synthetic and synthetic fibers including “unidentified polyvinyls closely resembling polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinylchloride - PVA and PVC” have been found in crustaceans examined in deep parts of our oceans -- up to 10,890 meters. These sheets are not plastic free or eco-friendly. :(
