I honestly thought this was going to be a mockumentary
When Devin Nunes appeared early in the movie, I realized the story was either going to be a mockumentary or a whitewash. I flashed back to how Nunes--famous for suing a fake cow--abused his position as chair of the House Intelligence Committee so badly that he had to step aside while being investigated for improperly disclosing classified information. This movie IS a joke, but it's a dangerous one. It's not true and not accurate, and although it's not played for laughs, it's anything but a real documentary. Instead, it's a glorified conspiracy theory, wrapped in fake heroics.
