Bought this to help cure dead spots in the house. At first I was impressed. Setup was actually easy. Then the problems began. Here are the list of proven issues: 1) When a device is connected to a child node the parental filtering doesn't work. At all. Basically renders the feature useless. 2) If you have broadband gigabit and a hardwire internal gigabit network the Velop will drop to 100 MB after a few minutes and never recover. 3) Despite advertised as doing so, devices are not migrated from one node to another as you move about the house automatically (like Eero and Google do). You have to shut off your wifi on your device and turn it back on and then *maybe* it will change. 4) If you run a hardwire backhaul then your guest wifi network will not connect to the internet 5) If you have a managed smart switch in your network back haul will most likely NOT work and even if it does the guest wifi will work for about 10 minutes and then fail to connect to the internet. 6) Repeated, constant drops from the internet, almost as if it is rebooting itself. 7) If you power off the main node there is about a 33% chance when you turn it back on it will forget all its settings and you have to set it up all over again. Considering the number of times you have to power it off and back on because it won't connect to the internet this gets aggravating very quickly. 8) Wifi performance is far inferior to what else is out there. When I was testing this against eero and Google it consistently connected at about 25% of the speeds as those devices with the exact same devices. 9) They have an active support community and despite saying they will escalate your issues to their engineers you never hear back from them nor do they seem to resolve the issue. Linksys has long been a decent brand in the home network world, but this product is no where near the quality of it's original reputation.
