First of all, the appearance and size of the shower mat are fine. BUT, I'm pretty sure that you aren't buying it primarily for good looks. Due to an injury I bought this mat for our 6x6 shower for my husband. First of all, it does not stick. Yes, I tried all the suggestions, more than once. You can get some of the tiny suction cups underneath the "bubbles" to stick, but the edges are a big problem. And the ones that do stick will come back up. Those little "bubbles" of plastic on top are very slippery.. And when suds are on the mat, it is even more slick.. Suds are generally present in the shower! Lastly, it holds water underneath and that is where mildew will grow. You could lift it up every day, spray with bleach or cleaner, then try valiantly to restick the mat. The tile is less slippery than this mat, so it is a throwaway. I wish that it could be recycled at least!
