I purchased this slow cooker in January 2015. I have used it 6 times. It does an excellent job with everything I have tried. I always rinse out the crockery insert after it has cooled (no food has stuck at all so far) and place it in the top rack of my late-model Bosch dishwasher with no heated dry, then carefully place the clean insert into the base. Somehow this time I noticed 2-3 cracks in the bottom of the crockery insert when I was replacing it in its base. HOW????? There is a "limited 1-year warranty," so I'm hoping the manufacturer will replace the insert. But will it crack too? Will they find some reason to deny coverage? I had originally purchased the Cuisinart Multi-Cooker with the metal insert, but it was dead on arrival and Amazon accepted it back and refunded my money. This Crock-Pot was purchased on January 21, so I am well beyond the 30-day period for simple returns. What's wrong with name-brand products these days? I'm deeply disappointed and fast losing trust in the popular brand names that gave us good value for so many years. Update: I just spoke with an awesome Crock-Pot customer service representative who is sending a replacement unit (base AND insert) at no charge. I will not hesitate to do business in the future with a company that stands behind its product in this way. Now I can recommend this to other buyers.
