Catastrophically offensive
Sexist, offensively stupid, with laughably bad information. This book assumes men are malicious halfwits, and somehow says "that's okay!" The medical information is frequently wrong, and the book says things like, "most men doubt the baby is theirs," and if you go swimming "Don't make jokes about her being a whale." Who is this written for??? Who are these men? Further, the book states that some men like to cheat during the third trimester. No unpacking of that, just like, "hey, this is the time when guys cheat." Is it a suggestion? And it talks about how if you think the experience of childbirth sounds unpleasant, don't let anyone pressure you into being in the room for your wife (who likely thinks the whole thing sounds unpleasant, too, but can't tap out and watch TV and snack until the whole "unpleasant" ordeal is over). This book is wretchedly offensive with almost no redeeming qualities. If you are an insensitive clod, this may be the book for you. If you are a rational, thinking human who has even rudimentary emotional intelligence, skip it and read literally anything else.
