I zipped/unzipped the top compartment maybe 7 times and the fabric above the zipper started to tear, making it nearly impossible to open/close the top zipper. My husband bought a different brand of money belt (Alpha Keeper) and opened his probably 5 times per day for 13 days (he was carrying the majority of the money for our vacation) and didn't have this problem. Also, the top compartment is BARELY large enough to fit a US passport so getting the passport in the top compartment and fitting the fabric over the passport so you can close the compartment was challenging.
