16 Large pieces 16 little pieces. BEWARE of misleading photo.
One of the photos shows a smaller construction indoors - another photo shows a bigger construction outdoors - BUT it does not say "2 sets used". We thought the set would build either - and contacted Amazon to express our concern. They didn't seem to care. Yes, there are 32 pieces BUT 1/2 of them are small connecting pieces - the larger construction shown in the last photo on the Amazon page must use 2 full sets. This IS misleading. I do think it is unfair to buyers.
