Don't buy any Hisense product
I am writing this review because I have received the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire 54 years of life. If you buy any Hisense product be sure to buy the warranty. Trust me I do not get overexcited about dealing with customer service representatives but Hisense has hit an all-time low in the world of service. My TV went out something to do with the motherboard and it was still within the one-year warranty. They sent a technician out to see me after I called them for over a month and at the end of that month I was calling twice a day every day for 13 days. They put you on hold and then the phone disconnects. They put you to a customer service rep who says someone will contact you within 24 hours but never does. And no email contact ever gets a response. The technician could not repair the TV even though he put in over five hours of work on it. Finally I had to send the TV back at my expense to have it packaged and they paid for the shipping and then two weeks later I received it back with a big scratch horizontally across the entire screen. Again I emailed, this time I emailed every email address I could find for the company which was only three addresses, Then I called daily never really getting through because you get put on hold and then it disconnects after 20 or 30 minutes. So today, which is now three months past the initial complaint I made, I was told by a representative that my TV arrived at Georgia with this scratch across the front. There was no packing slip no one contacted me telling me that it was damaged, but the customer service rep stated we don't normally repair any TVs that come to us damaged but they repaired yours anyway. After I stated I had it packed by the UPS packaging store there was no way that it could've gotten scratched on transit he stated it is up to you to file a claim with UPS and they will either allow or deny it but it's not our responsibility. I asked him (because he stated it is policy to contact the customer when goods arrive damaged) why idbt I receive and email or a phone call or some sort of form staying this? He had no answer and referred me to the website return policy.
So now I am on a mission because it is a matter of principle that I bought a product in good faith that through no fault of mine stopped working while under warranty and now I am feeling the sour effects of being helpless against a conglomerate. It is NOT a good feeling and no amount of frustration, anger or Xanax can alleviate my annoyance at Hisense TV and what I now believe to be a typical way they treat people. So be warned, if you buy their products and something goes wrong, you will suffer your frustration...you need to purchase the extra store warranty--but to be safe, because they won't help you until after the run-around and even then that help may leave you standing alone with nothing but frustration--buy from another company entirely.
I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS before I bought because I see the same problem happened to others.
The one good thing is that they finally repaired the motherboard, but the huge scratch is now incredibly distracting. Thank you for reading and I hope this helps.
