Do yourself a favor and look up the rating scales for portable AC units. This unit is listed as 10,000 BTUs but it is only 6,000 BTUs. The reason for this discrepancy is because it uses the energy of 10,000 but puts out the cold air of 6,000 BTUs. If I had done the research I should have before making an impulse buy I would have known this and never purchased it in the first place.
