After an initial easy setup and easy sign in to access Directv I was excited to try this out. I couldn't get the live access to work. I tried several times, following to steps indicated to establish this capability. I sent a message to Kindle Support and was referred to Directv with my issue. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact the correct area at Directv (anyone with Directv has most likely experienced this frustration), I finally reached a technician who advised me that the Kindle Fire does not have the platform to receive live streaming feeds from Directv. It works fine as a remote (unnecessary) and I can record programs from a location not in my home (will not do). Bottom line: there is no reason to get this app. Need an IPad to get it since their operating system works. Disappointed.
