Another Win for the Scalpers Association!
* Another Win for the Scalpers Association! * Gotta give it to Nintendo for creating another cash cow for their partners over at the Scalpers Association. In 2017, there is no reason for not having enough supply to fulfill demand.... Yet time and time again, Nintendo sees a need to create artificial demand. It was most apparent with the NES CLASSIC, now any Zelda, Mario 2017, Metroid Amiibo series and esp the SNES CLASSIC. It seems all things Nintendo are now designed, manufactured and distributed solely for the Scalpers Association. It's simply the new business model for Nintendo. You certainly don't see Sony pulling this load of crap. I'm about ready to wash my hands clean of Nintendo. And don't waste your time contacting them. All you get is a disingenuous and insincere "Sorry for the inconvenience... Keep checking your local stores" response. For the record, just like with the NES & SNES CLASSICS, I've tried finding them since they were originally available for preorder. Unlike a scalper, I don't have spiders or other highly sophisticated software to crawl sites 24/7 in search of all things Nintendo. I never wait until the last minute to try and find them. That would be asinine even to suggest. UPDATE: A reasonable profit for something is 10% and anything over that is pure greed. Karma will get you. I live as best as I can to do right by others and I've been rewarded well in life with good Karma. I have also personally seen many times what happens when people intentionally do others wrong. I got this Amiibo set, from a different e-tailer, and I paid $29 for it (+ tax of course). Scalpers are simply taking advantage of others and it's sad because as long as people are buying from them, then they're supporting that business practice. There is no place for greedy people in life. I do not blame Amazon; I blame #Nintendo for creating artificial demand. In 2017, we do not live in a post-apocalyptic dystopian world where there's a shortage of materials to manufacture more NES / SNES Classic systems or special Amiibos. Nintendo can very well project demand based on previous sales AND popularity of the series (i.e. Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc.). And why Nintendo would cap sales by creating a very limited supply of popular items, and then making them exclusive to one store is a load of BS.
