Sex-Starved Jellyfish Goes to Walmart
"... the sex-starved jellyfish within her quivered." Seriously???
This is the kind of book that gives the romance genre a bad name. The hero is so emotionally constipated that by 80% into the book the heroine tells him she has no clue how he feels about her. Me neither! His epiphany is nothing short of ludicrous. The plot is ridiculous. Take Sleepless in Seattle and mix in a little faux espionage. Imagine an evil corporation that emails you death threats using their company server.
There only hint of sex is 'off camera' and there isn't enough heat to roast a marshmallow.
I'm not sure what the author's fixation with Walmart is, but we are drowning in references to that ubiquitous retailer:
“Walmart never breaks the bank, and everything’s half price. You can’t go wrong.”
“Made in America for Americans. Walmart is the main sponsor of the competition.”
“It’s true that most of our decorations are made in China. But Walmart guarantees the quality of all its products. There’s something for everyone in our stores.” What?????
"We went to Walmart and bought a whole cart of decorations."
"We shopped at Walmart and everything was half price.”
“We went overboard at Walmart. They had a sale.”
"I hear you’ve got an exciting time at Walmart planned?”
The final insult is the reference to the "photo's" (sic) that Molly took. Two stars only because it was free.
