worked great for about 6 weeks, but unfortunately shorted out one night. I came into work and the air conditioner got stuck in the on position for at least 12 hours. Was 57 degrees inside and the air compressor was making a horrible noise like the bearings were going out. According to my HVAC technician, the thermostat shorted out and the unit got stuck running with the AC on. I can't return it to Amazon anymore because its outside of the return period, so I'm trying to find out how to file a warrany claim, but I went ahead and had my HVAC guy install a new thermostat because I can't be without one while they try to process my warranty claim for weeks. Hoping this thermostat didn't take out my air compressor too.
