Day one of use: Catastrophic failure. Luckily I didn’t lose a hand or finger. I had rigged a parallel pull with two eye holes, trading loads between the two to reel in the cable. Strange how this 4 ton cable winch exploded, but the trailer tie down strap (rated at 3333lbs), (i.e. less that half the claimed load capacity of this product) on the other eye hole not only caught the break, but held. Notice in my picture how the cable is no longer attached to the reel.
