I want to start by saying that i love 8bitdo products. I have an SN30pro, SN30 pro+, and now this unit. I use the other 8bitdo products every day with my pc and my Nintendo switch. I got this new Xbox edition controller to use with my pc for my daughter so the buttons would match what they are in game, she has trouble using the other 8bitdo controllers because with X-input they are labeled wrong. A is B X is Y so on and so forth, which is fine for me because I don’t look at the controller, but for my daughter having the matching letters and numbers helps her to play games more efficiently on the computer. I suppose i am the only one to blame for this, but this controller LITTEREALLY only works with android, it connects to my pcs Bluetooth just fine. plug in in with a cable and I can access it with ultimate software and test buttons and triggers, but this controller DOES NOT work in games on PC whether connected via USB-C or Bluetooth. I thought at first it was defective so I tried connecting to an android phone and much to my surprise it worked great on the phone. I don’t quite know why 8bitdo took this direction, but I personally believe it is in poor taste, considering all their other controllers work across multiple platforms. VERY disappointed that this controller does not work with a PC without buying their proprietary adapter, even if you already have Bluetooth. Seems like a cash grab that I thought 8bitdoe was above. I Will be returning this controller.
