Bought these for my wife for her first back pack trip. Failed miserably. Her dad took them on and traded his solid sticks to her. The quality of your adjustment grips matter and duct tape is not a fix. When someone is depending on the stick down hill it NEEDS to hold!!!! Don’t go cheap on the poles like I did. I still haven’t heard the end of it and for good reason. In some cases they are as important as boots. Do your research and don’t go cheap
