After shopping around, I took a chance on this one based on the positive reviews and I am very pleased. The build quality is very good for something this cheap. There are cheaper ottomans on Amazon, but look at the weights. The cheaper ottomans are "collapsible" (why would you want that?) while this thing ships at 23+ pounds and is solid like a real piece of furniture. Do yourself a favor and drop the extra $10-$15 for this one. You will like it. **************************** Update 1 **************************** After a few months of medium to heavy use, 2 buttons have come off. Structurally it's still solid but the buttons can't handle the heavy foot traffic. I ended up cutting the other 2 buttons off and it still looks great. The buttons don't actually serve a purpose... the top just puffs up a tiny bit more now. If you saw it for the first time, you'd think it was design that way. **************************** Update 2 **************************** After 6 months, the thing is still solid, but because I took the buttons off, the stitching at the intersections that the buttons were holding down is starting to come undone. Granted I use this thing everyday with size 14 banana boats. I'm still happy with the purchase but be aware of this problem if you think about removing the buttons like I did. Will report back in a few months.
