Relieved my sensitive teeth over the long term. No longer need special toothpaste.
Prior to using this remineralization gel, I used every tooth sensitivity toothpaste product on the market. As a teen, I had to buy my own things, and thought that a harder toothbrush would get my teeth cleaner. There was no warning that it could damage enamel, so the unintended consequence was that I ended up with both enamel loss and painful areas along the gums, too. The gums retreated a bit from the harder brushing, just enough to expose a few painful areas. My teeth became so sensitive that I could not tolerate any temperature changes. It hurt my teeth not only to eat or drink hot or cold (enough that I didn't), it also hurt to breathe in cold air. The toothpastes helped, lessening the pain, though the relief was short-lived. I had to keep using the toothpaste to dampen the pain. This remineralization gel is often marketed to use after whitening teeth. I do not whiten my teeth, I used the gel to heal my teeth from the damage of long ago. I first came across the concept of a remineralization paste more than 10 years ago. At that time, there was a different product from overseas. Regardless of how long the instructions said to keep the gel on my teeth, I kept it on as long as I possibly could. At first, I didn't have the trays that fit on your teeth to hold the gel there. To get some, I purchased a whitening kit that had the whitening substance on trays. I washed all that product off and used those trays. They were flat styrofoam, and by disinfecting them well I was able to use them for a while. Eventually I came across the thermo-molding type of bite trays, used by some athletes for protection. I starting using those, and did all that I could to maximize the benefit from gel. When I could, I used it all day and/or all night. If I could not have the tooth trays on, I would take a little of the gel on my finger and rub it on the worst spots. My teeth had become translucent, and with time the gel made them less so. It also made them less sensitive, and unlike the toothpaste, it lasted! Of course, I also gave up most things that could be damaging to my teeth, such as acidic drinks. If I did have anything like that, I used a straw, and learned that I should wait a bit before brushing, as the acid softens the enamel and brushing right away does more damage than waiting until later. I also improved my diet, and became more consistent with vitamins and mineral supplements. It was the remineralization paste, though, that helped my teeth to heal in the first place. Over time, I forgot all about it! I no longer needed the special toothpaste, I could drink hot and cold beverages, etc. After a few years I felt some sensitivity developing again, and learned that the price of that other paste had skyrocketed, and I could no longer afford it. Instead, I found this gel, and used it with success for more years of pain-free teeth. More recently, a small chip came off of one of my teeth, so I ordered some gel to strengthen my teeth again. This time I also ordered packs of gel for my spouse and children. I'll admit, they did not ask for this, and have not been using it. They do not have the pain that I had as a motivating factor. Instead, due to various concerns that they had mentioned, my hope was to spare them from reaching that point. Perhaps, with it available, they will use it soon. It has worked again for me, so I've decided to share that in case someone else is looking for a solution for their sensitive teeth. When my teeth were quite bad, it did take a while of using the remineralization product as much as possible (no swallowing, though)! Sticking with it worked. The two times that I have come back to using addressing my teeth with remineralization, it has not taken as long to resolve the issue as it did the first time. Staying consistent with magnesium, boron, calcium, Vit D3, and potassium are the other ways that I take care of my bone health. If you are still reading this, then perhaps you are looking for a solution for tooth sensitivity. If that is the case, then I hope that this works for you, too!
