Purchased this for my 84 yr old mother who is experiencing swelling in one leg, and difficulty walking because of it. Since she only had swelling in one leg, she only plugged in one boot. It wouldn’t inflate, she then plugged the other boot in separately & it still wouldn’t inflate, so she thought the boot inflater didn’t work. It turns out that both boots must be plugged in for the air compressor to work, but we were unaware of this. We contacted customer service via email, I was a little concerned when I found that the company was based in China, because the package had shipped in two days, I thought customer service would be located here also. However, Customer Service gets a 5 star along with their product. They responded to my emails quickly, even with the time difference and they promised full satisfaction. They said that we didn’t have to return the product, that we could just take pictures or videos of what wasn’t working and they would refund or fix it. But my mother is unable to take pictures and I don’t live close enough to help her, so she packaged it up and returned it. Customer Service gave us an immediate refund even before receiving the returned package. My mother really liked the quality of the product, soft satiny material lines the interior, the boot was easy to put on and take off, the controls were easy for her to use. Plus it is the only air compression boot on the market in this price range that had both a foot air bag and a calf air bag, so we purchased another one. When she received the second item, it wouldn’t inflate either, because she was only plugging in one boot at a time. Then she had a nurse come by and they discovered that if you don’t have both boots plugged in, the air compressor won’t inflate. Simple solution. She is a larger woman and the velcro on the boots make it ease to slip on and she has no problem securing them. The lowest setting has provided a great massage. She often falls asleep while it is on and she likes the fact that it shuts off automatically after 15min. She uses it daily and enjoys the massage, which says alot, because she won’t use something, even if it is good for her, if it isn’t easy to do. She is a busy woman and can’t be bothered if things don’t work well. She is still having difficulty with the leg, but this has given her some relief and has been beneficial for her. I want one!
