We have had complaints from neighbors that our dog barks constantly while we are gone, so I figured I would try this. Even on setting 5, my 12 pound dachshund continues to bark through the beeps and the shocks. Stays charged for a long time, very sturdy (my dog tends to get out of muzzles and collars and couldn't with this) Doesn't come with the wall part of the charger, so if you don't have a spare laying around like we did you will have to get that. Update: I don't think the issue was the collar or manufacturer, just rather that my dog is stubborn. Furthermore, the customer service for this company is amazing, which makes all the difference.
