I purchased this headset as a replacement for an LG Model HBS-810 headset. I like the LG a lot, but one of the earpieces no longer had any sound and the headset started to switch itself off and on randomly when in use. I chose the SX-991 because it was rated higher than the LG and because of the much lower price. It's approximately 1/3 the price of the LG. It was easy to set up and pair with my iPhone. The sound quality is outstanding; better than the LG. I like the fact that you can retract the earbuds by pushing a button. I have only two complaints about it. One is that it is much bulkier than the LG headset and the neckband is thicker. The other complaint is that it supposedly has a "EQ Shift" feature, but the instructions for this feature were unclear and I could not figure out how to use it. Overall, this is a very good choice for an inexpensive neckband bluetooth headset and is an outstanding value for the price. I just got it so I can't comment on battery life or on durability.
