This saved me! It may save you so read my full review! (WARNING VERY GROSS, BUT USEFUL INFO)So last week\, March 7th or so I had an ingrown hair on my inner thigh. I figured it's no big deal, I have had these before. As a hairy guy that grooms I tend to get them. But this one was not going away. By last Saturday, the 10th, it was getting bigger and bigger and since it was my inner thigh, walking and moving was getting more difficult. I had applied neosporin,which tends to do the trick, it was doing nothing! It was now the size of a golf ball. It looked like some inserted a golf ball under my skin. No home remedies or anything was working. It was beginning to harden and was not getting better. I was reading that I would have to go to the hospital and have it lanced and removed... this only a week before my bday, where I was doing a pub crawl on St. Pattys... so tons of walking. I was thinking I would have to cancel my bday this year! While perusing online I saw an ad for prid and someone who had a similar experience. They said within a few hours the wound opened and all the puss and blood poured out... eww I know.. but keep reading. I thought it was too good to be true, So i came on amazon and found verified reviews. Luckily, it was available on Prime and I got with 1 day shipping! Monday it arrives and I wash the now even bigger ingrown hair/boil/whatever you wanna call it. Washing it hurt like hell, I applied the prim to a massive gauze since a regular bandage could not cover it. I hoped and prayed for the best. That nite I showered and reapplied Prim and noticed it was getting even bigger. My fear was that it simply was not working. The next day I went through my normal routine, the pain had subsided but it was awkward as hell to walk, that Nite Tuesday the 13th I was about to shower and removed the bandage... and lo and behold, (warning gross) a volcano of puss, black blood, regular blood, and God knows what else was gushing like a geyser out of my wound. It WOULD NOT STOP. I had to get paper towels just to collect it. It was pouring out like a faucet. After an hour or so of drainage the area was still sore but the boil had reduced... this was only 24 hours after using Prid. My leg was still sore and walking was a bit tough, but I showered and reapplied prid again. The next day, Wed, March the 14th, 48 hours later, the new bandage was again soaked with blood, puss, and gunk, and chunks of I don't even want to guess.. but now I i washed it, cleaned it, and was able to walk normally. Today it is March 15th, Thursday and the boil is almost 100% gone. Just a little excess gunk left, but it's negligible. It was totally worth it. This saved my week, my bday, and possibly an expensive trip to the Doctor. The salve is tiny, but so far one container seems to do the job, i reordered a 2nd one just in case, but haven't had to open it yet. Yes, the smell isn't great and the salve is very thick. Try keeping it near a heating pad to loosen it up. But the smell isn't so bad that the results aren't worth it. I wouldn't care if it smelled like death, it works! it WORKS! I was so happy that today when I applied the new bandage and saw the massive golf size ball was almost gone, I HAD to write this review. I am always going to keep this around for any future ingrown hairs. This truly was a miracle worker and i Thank God I found it! Make sure to clean the boil/area and disinfect it with rubbing alcohol, then apply the salve. Make sure to bandage it and perhaps apply a heating pad over the area to help hasten the process. Within 24 hours of using the salve, the very sore golf ball boil formed a head and erupted. Within 48 hours I could walk normally again, 36 hours later it was almost completely gone. I will always keep this on hand. For anyone who has had something similar to this happen to them, you will need this around. Hope this review helps!!
