The way to have this work flawlessly is the following: 1) Once eggs are ready to peel, break off some of the shell from the bottom of the egg where the air space is. 2) insert the tool gently between the egg and the shell, while taking care not to dig into the egg itself 3) IMPORTANT: As you rotate the egg, lift the tool firmly AWAY from the egg as you turn it, so that the shell separates from the egg as you turn and so you do not dig into the egg itself. 4) You will be left with a hollow shell floating around the egg. Break this away from the egg and you're DONE!
