I have wanted my own detox foot bath for 10 yrs! I wasn't about to spend $2,000 to get a quality one like I have used in medical offices. I spent hours researching the different options and was thrilled to find this one. It has enough power and a 5 yr warranty to be comparable to the really expensive professional units. The unit is very bare bones, but it gets the job done and is very affordably priced. I have been disabled for 4 years with ME/CFS after living in a moldy house that made me incredibly ill. I'm a member of an an online group (1,500 members) designed to help people with mold illness. I posted a link to this item after I bought mine in July 2015. I was very excited to find a product even those living on disability could afford and explained how I had benefited from detox foot baths over the years. Since I bought mine, dozens from our group have bought one too. We have been sharing our experiences over the past 6 months and have been absolutely astounded at how much this is helping everyone. Once you have been exposed to toxic mold, it causes severe neuroimmune problems. We become incredibly sensitive to the tiniest of mold exposures, much like someone with a peanut allergy is sensitive to peanuts. We experience severe reactions that can include seizures, cognitive impairment, burning skin, difficulty breathing, vomiting, etc. We must follow strict mold avoidance practices to stay safe and if we accidentally have a mold exposure, the symptom spiral can knock us down for days or weeks. This machine seems to universally benefit those of us with mold illness by reducing the impact of an exposure significantly. Some people have reported that it has improved electromagnetic frequency sensitivity, amazing! So many people have had positive experiences and are seeing gradual reduced reactivity, cognitive improvement, and reduced symptoms overall with regular use of this machine that many more people are planning to order as soon as they can save up the money. The focus historically on what these machines can do seems to be on heavy metal detox, but it seems clear from our group's collective experiences that it is very likely removing fat soluble toxins such as mold biotoxins. We would love to continue emphatically recommending this unit as an affordable therapy to help people with mold illness. Unfortunately, we have had two people so far receive machines that were badly cross-contaminated with mold (returned machines that were resold) and made them very very ill. They have found out the hard way that the company charges a restocking fee and the item must be returned within 14 days. We have tried to talk to the owner and customer service to explain the seriousness of this problem. We cannot continue to recommend that people with mold illness purchase this product unless the company can guarantee we will not receive a returned product that could have been cross-contaminated in someone's moldy house. Like I explained, we are incredibly sensitive and this can cause a major health setback. I would like to suggest that if you are going to charge a restocking fee you should then resell it minus the restocking fee as a discounted item labeled clearly as refurbished or previously returned. That way if people want to save money they can knowingly buy a used machine and the company would not have lost a penny since the reduced price plus restocking fee makes up the total cost. The type of people interested in purchasing their own detox foot bath for home use are very likely to be chronically ill. There have been rave reviews in autism groups about the use of detox foot baths. People with fibromyalgia and many other illnesses are benefitting too. They may not yet realize that mold exposure is making them ill. My point is that reselling machines that have been cross-contaminated in toxic homes, could affect more than just us with identified mold illness. People who get a contaminated machine, may feel awful and not understand why if they aren't mold aware yet and blame it on your product. Your customers are sensitive. Please protect us by not reselling returned machines unless you discount them and make it clearly known they will be receiving a returned/refurbished machine. This is critically important. We are all very grateful you have offered such an excellent and affordable product that is helping us to heal. Please listen and respond to our concerns about this issue. Update 7/21/16: I haven't heard of anyone getting contaminated machines in quite a few months. It looks like the company has fixed this issue. Many more people have purchased this machine and reported very good results. Thank you very much for addressing our concerns. This is a great product, changing to 5 stars.
