Let me say first that I love Tom Clancy's books. This series does not follow the book for the most part. The names are the same (Jack Ryan, Cathy Mueller, James Greer) but the do not match the books. If you are looking for a Tom Clancy book, this is not for you. However, this series is awesome. I loved the story line. I loved the characters. I also loved the fact the we got to know the antagonist almost as well as we did Jack Ryan. As someone else pointed out, things do not happen in a vacuum. I didn't take me long to accept John Krasinski as Jack Ryan even if he wasn't doing the same things Clancy wrote about in his book. I highly recommend this series for both Tom Clancy fans and those who aren't Tom Clancy fans.
