Kdsmartchair is brilliant, I am now so happy
this is an add on, I got asked about buying without a test drive.no worries , I suggest seeing about a bit of discount on two xtra batteries which I use when I go inside a doctors office and plug them in and charge away. Keep them topped up as much as much AS POSSIBLE KDsmartchair amazon review I wanted to add a followup since I've had it for a year and a half. This chair has been a godsend, reliable, enough power to take me up grades around the hospital and customer support when I've had questions. This chair folds up easily and is very easy to slide into my trunk.. I see a lot of people with all sorts of walkers having multiple problems supplying their own power to move the chair. This chair has a number of cutting edge technologies that have still not been bested. The lithium batteries are state of the art, coupled with direct drive motors , one for each wheel, this chair has it all. Most chairs have super heavy sealed lead acid batteries, with rears transaxles to take the the power and convert it to the rear wheels. This chair, bypasses the transaxle issue since it doesn't use one. I believe the electronic cutting edge technology will be unsurpassed for quite some time. I decided to add this update since I've had this chair long enough to make sure the technology used here is exactly what I first thought it would be, EXCELLENT. I am really compulsive about doing my research before I buy a product (no buyers remorse here) and I have owned mobility devices from Pride mobility, EvRider the first copy of the smart chair and I had problems with all of them. the Pride go-go Elite traveler plus tipped over easily, the $3800 EvRider Vita sport was underpowered and caused motor failure and the first mysmart chair copy had battery problems and Now I am commencing experience with the original version, The KDsmartChair, a separate company My original smart chair had a problem and the american KDsmartchair customer service stepped up big in the end and stood by their word to make that which they had not even screwed up right, which is more than I can say by the company which originally sold this chair and then switched to a similar chair called ezlitecuiser. This company said ( for many weeks) would send me a replacement chair which took forever and then when I got it, it was apparent that they waited until somebody's chair malfunctioned , sent it to ezlitecruiser, and when they got it they promptly sent it to me. I said I didn't appreciate waiting all that time to get a cast off malfunctioning chair. So when I spoke with the KDsmartchair rep today, he immediately started to ship one via fedEx to make amends and I got the tracking number immediately. I left a review of the interim variety, Amazon didn't post it so I am posting this. I believe EZlitecruiser to be an imitation of sorts to the original KDsmart chair and a company is only as good as the people that represent it and thus far KDsmartchair seems to be highly ethical. * This ultra lightweight powered wheelchair represents a breakthrough of new technologies and I will list some in order. * they use dual 3 lb lithium batteries not prone to memory effect damage through improper charging technique like the old nickel cadmium batteries from the past. * Direct drive brushless motors that deliver 35% more power per watt rating compared the 4 pole motors that other manufacturers use * 4 pole motors with brushes require a lot more maintenance which are difficult to replace and I've done that. *the old SLA type of batteries used by the vast majority of wheel chair and scooter manufacturers like"Pride Mobility" use the giant SLA (sealed lead acid) batteries that average 40 (or more) lbs each and the ones In my large neighborhood scooter weight about 50lbs each bringing the total weight to my none portable scooter to 396lbs compared to the less than 50lb KDsmartchair. *The dual single motors ( 1 for each wheel ) are much less costly to replace and easier to boot with their higher efficiency. * one battery is used to power each wheel and if extra batteries are (purchased separately ) provide extended range per outing
