I've gone through probably 5 different styles of these; slip-on, strap-on, snap-on, wrap-over & tied. They all had varying degrees of "memory foam" density and none of them were worth the time and effort of a review. These make all the others whither in comparison. With 1.5" of DENSE memory foam, the deformation of the material is minimal after long periods of use. They always seem to spring back. Coupled with a soft gel inlay, they really cradle the arm well. The straps are plenty long, so even the thickest of armrests will benefit from their use. If fitted correctly, they won't slide off the arms, either, due to the multitude of little rubber nubbins on the underside. Comfort is top notch. The mesh top is soft enough that it doesn't feel coarse against the skin, but appears tough enough to not deteriorate over time. My ONLY gripe is the adjustable straps should be flipped during manufacture. The way they are now, the hooky side is on the outside, which catches on my cotton shirts now and then. If the loopy side were out, no more snagged clothes. Like I said, very minor gripe. Doesn't even effect the star rating. ** EDIT 9/13/2022 ** It has been more than a year since my initial purchase. They have yet to disappoint! The foam is still firm yet easily compressible, and still slowly springs back to its initial shape as memory foam is supposed to do. The gel inserts are still soft and pliable. I have hand-washed the outer fabric I think three times now due to various reasons of inept coordination, but they are just as easy on the arm skin as they have always been. If I ever get another chair, these will go directly on it with no second thoughts. If I get a SECOND chair, though, I'll definitely be getting a second set for it.
