I really hate reading product reviews. The "Revenge of the Snowy Mattress Cover" was ridiculous. Who spills an alcohol-based solvent on their bed and expects it to be protected and then blames the mattress cover manufacturer for the poor outcome? It is designed to protect against water-based liquids at room temperature. The instructions clearly state it isn't to be dried in a dryer. Hang it up for Pete's sake. I bought this in spite of the silly negative reviews. It arrived just as I suspected. It's a flexible fabric cover with plastic backing. Just like they've all been made the last 30 years. They are ALL the same type of material unless you buy organic. If you buy organic, guess what? They're not waterproof and they're expensive. Since all <$50 mattress covers are basically the same, you can either purchase one from China, or you can purchase one made in the USA. Choose whichever one makes you feel benefits the economy that you are a part of.
