After reading the negative reviews, I can't believe that some of you gave your animals 2, 3 or more pills in a month because you kept seeing fleas. Did you read the directions? Can you read? I'll try to explain, so pay attention: this product DOES NOT KILL ADULT FLEAS. Again, this product DOES NOT KILL ADULT FLEAS! It circulates in your animal's blood stream so that when the flea bites your pet, the eggs that the flea lay will not hatch. It takes several months to break the flea cycle, because every flea that has been on your pet has laid flea eggs everywhere. Those eggs hatch, and those are the fleas you see on your pet. Those fleas will lay sterile eggs also. Eventually (a few months), there will be no more flea eggs and no more fleas. If you want immediate knockdown of adult fleas, you need to use Capstar (or the generic equivalent). You can use that treatment every 24 hours, but you can only use this product once monthly. Honestly, I can't believe some of you haven't done harm to your pets-and then you would blame the product! This works, along with the Capstar, if you use it correctly. I have 5 cats and do not have any problems while using this product. It works if you use it correctly, and depending on where you live, year round. I live in the south and I have one cat that goes in and out, so I use it year round.
