A few days ago I sprayed my pants from the knee down and from the crotch up with Sawyer Permethrin—a bug/tick repellant. Said to last for six weeks and through as many washings. (It’s routinely used by the U.S. Army .) . Coming back this morning from our pre-breakfast walk with the dog, I spotted a deer tick (the dangerous tiny ones) ankle high on my pants. It can have been on me for no more than 10 minutes. . The little bugger seemed not to know which way to crawl. It flipped over 2 or 3 times and then fell off. Himm, now that’s what I call anti-tick power.
