I've only just hooked up this printer, so I can't comment on longevity, etc. I bought it primarily as a replacement for an old Sharp copier that I had, but the Canon is also connected as a backup printer. As a printer, it is very fast and the print quality seems to be excellent, but as a copier, it has one deficiency: the glass size is A4, which is just slightly larger than letter size. The old copier had a much larger glass area, so it was possible to reduce some oversize documents to fit on letter size. This copier is somewhat crippled in that area. Amazon has dropped the price on this printer by about $50 in just the last few days, so it's a great value for a home office. It's a good size, is fairly lightweight (at least in comparison with what I had before), and the set-up instructions are the best I've seen. I would not recommend this for a business, as it does not have a document feeder, besides the limited glass size.
