May 31,2016 update: After Verizon finally uprated my S5 to 6.0.1 android, now my connections issues have gone away. So, for the price, you can't go wrong. Just remember, a phone reset also means a watch reset. AKA, of you turn off your phone, you will also have to do so with your watch. to reconnect. Make sense? After two days evaluating this watch, here are my thoughts. I have tried other smart watches with mixed feelings. There are a ton of options out there and deciding on which to buy can be daunting to say the least. First off, smart watches have a long ways to go. The main hurdle is the operating systems which they will be used under. It seems that every new release of Android presents more challenges. With that said, here's my final assessment on this watch. Features versus cost: This watch wins hands down!!!!! You can make and answer calls via the watch. Yes, you read that correctly, and without using a SIM card. It has a camera, though a low MP, it is functional (when you insert a MSD card) you can take pictures and also record video. Also, you can be notified of anything your phone notifies you of. You may want to deselect some notifications as this can get on your nerves quickly. Pairing your watch to your phone is easy; making the BT-Notifications work is not. I read other reviews and followed their suggestions and they worked. First, charge your watch via the USB cable that comes with it. Then, power it up and then go to your BT settings and pair the watch with your phone. Once paired, answer Yes to the "sync now": that the watch asks. Then, go to the watch menu and keep scrolling until you see the "quick response" button. Click on it and a QR code will come up. Use your phone to read it and it will take you to a website that you can download the app for your phone. Once this is done, you will open it and find that it will NOT see your watch. Don't despair. Turn off the watch and start it back up; this may require doing more than once (why I don't know), and if after three times your watch doesn't find your phone for BT notifications, then take the back off of the watch, remove the battery for say 30 seconds and the replace it. Then power the watch up and it should not only connect to your watch but also connect to the BT Notification app, which is what this watch needs to make it a "smart watch". Drawbacks to this watch; It can't get more than ten feet from the phone before it disconnects. So, keep the phone on your side while wearing the watch. Perhaps this is just my setup only, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 running Android 5.0; Verizon's version. No, this watch is not water proof. No, this watch is not made of super strong material. Yes, you get what you pay for and in my humble opine, this watch is well worth what you paid for it. Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes, and I have already done so. No, I was not given a free watch to write this review. It is an honest review.
