I was looking for large curlers for a quick and easy way to fix my hair. I Have curly, frizzy and wavy hair. I heat these curlers up for 10 minutes, throw them in for 10 minutes or so, and my hair looks great when I take them out. I have smoother hair and a slight or large curl from below my ears down. My hair is couple inches below my shoulders. My hair doesn't hold curl extremely well but you can still tell it was curled and fixed at the end of the day. I'm glad I bought these and would definitely recommend them. I do not get creases like other people mentioned in the comments and the rollers get hot enough that if you leave them on 10 minutes they're tough to touch. They do not heat up as hot as I would like them in two minutes though, but are great at about 7 to 10 minutes. Keep in mind when you are buying these that larger rollers do not put in a real tight curl, but the curl is definitely visible and very nice. Curls are equivalent to using a large barreled curling iron but only takes 3 minutes instead of 25
