I'm sort of new to using beeswax and making my own stuff. Thanks to youtube & Amazon, I got an amazing amount of information. For example, if you look at some of the different beeswax products on here, there are some that are pellets, some that are 1 pound chunks, and just about everything in between. Some of them were rated highly, and some very poorly. Some said that it depended on which seller. I read several reviews describing bad odor, petroleum odor and tobacco odor, as well as bad color, no color or bad taste. I can state unequivocally that this product is AS ADVERTISED. I got 6 bars, weighing 5.9 ounces (advertised is 5 bars at 5 ounces) - so I actually got MORE than I paid for. The color is consistent and uniform and the smell, which was a bit faint and certainly not overpowering, was slightly sweet and very pleasant. I have used this wax for a lot of things and made several concoctions with it. All have turned out pretty well, I am sure due to all the great info and videos available as well as this being an excellent product. Probably also combined with a healthy bit of beginners luck. Anyhow, for everything from homemade lotion & mosquito repellent, to soap and chapstick to candles to home made leather conditioner for everything from boots and bowling shoes to belts, dog leashes, a knife sheath, a guitar strap, etc. this product is really good and provides great protection from the elements.
