In our rural community, I am periodically called upon to go our on search and rescues in bad weather. I ordered these Arctix Storm Rain Pant Storm Rain Pant to pair with my matching Arctix Men's Storm Rain Jacket (sold separately on Amazon). I also use them around the cabin and property in rainy weather. I have a 33 waist with a 32 inch inseam. They fit comfortably at the waist and are a bit long on the inseam but I like the extra length at the inseam. It allows me to pull up the pants above the jacket for better rain isolation and allows for kneeling with my jeans on without binding or restriction of movement. I imagine that's why the inseam was designed to be a little long. Irrespective, it works well for me. These rain pants are quite waterproof and easily fit over my heavy jeans. They provide adequate room for movement, which is important to me when I have to do a lot of stooping and twisting to set tow hooks, etc... The features I appreciate in these rain pants are: • Most importantly, they are water tight. • The fabric is tightly woven nylon with a waterproof backing. • The seams are well sewn with a taped backing to prevent leaking at the seams. • There is one pocket with generous space on the right hand side. The pants will fold up into the pocket for compact storage in a backpack. I mainly hang them on a hanger with the matching jacket so I don't fold them into the pocket. It's nice to know I can, however. • The pant cuff unsnaps to allow me to get into them easily then snaps to two different tightnesses to accommodate my boots or other footwear. • There is good attention to detail. For example, the zipper zips up vertically to keep items from falling out of the pocket. The zipper is sheltered by a sewn in flap that helps keep rain out. • There is an elastic cinch cord around the waist that allows me to snug them up to keep them up. • There is an inner lining of the same material that adds further water proofing and protects the inner waterproof backing from wear and resulting leakage. Overall, I'm quite please with these rain pants. For the price they are of very good quality.
