I've updated my review from Oct 28 because something important happened. In my original review I explained how i had a gen2. worked great at first. then after the battery ran dawn because i didn't use it, it would no longer take a charge. the battery design is defective. the battery can't be replaced. so now its a paperweight. and that's why i didn't recommend buying it. My device was out of the warranty period. I wrote a letter to FLIR explaining the situation and how I had been denied repair/replace service because i was well outside the warranty period. They just now came back and gave me a FLIR One Pro (version3) at no cost! Even though I was well outside the warranty period. That's standing behind their product. That means a lot to me. That's why I'm upgrading my review and rating.
