The chicken and waffles photo is from a cooking class I took with a pretty sad waffle iron. It had poor temperature control and made pretty sad soggy waffles. The half eaten waffle with cherry chips is my first waffle I made on this iron. This is a legit machine that can make crisp exteriors with fluffy soft insides. The waffles come out cleanly but if you add melty items inside, you'll want to give it a good wipe. I wrapped a chopstick up in a small piece of damp paper towel and easily cleaned up in between the grooves. I'm extremely pleased with this waffle iron.
