I have central air but only a trickle comes out in bedroom. My senior large breed Great Pyrenees has been having a difficult time with the lack of cool air in bedroom and won't sleep in room without me. This has helped perfectly!!! I fill with ice cubes , add water and place in front of AC vent...does not cool whole room but does help my dog keep cool. Been using it non stop with no issues. Keep a frozen bottle of water near by. If it gets low in night water is melted but still cold.
