Not a Piko replica, but has all the good qualities of the trapeze tunic style
I'm a true XL in the boobs where it counts, so I ordered an XL in this shirt and it fits great (I'm about a 16 American dress size). I knew it would be swingy/flowy because that's the cut of the shirt, so I think the waist area fit is perfect. Other reviewers who are saying it fits too large might not have taken that into account.
It's pretty comparable to the Piko shirts, but for a few things: the shoulder seams are not mid-bicep like Piko and the cuffs/sleeves could be cut even smaller to be more like the very tight Piko sleeves. I didn't find my sleeves very tight at all, just fitted. The material is definitely NOT the same as a Piko, I'm not sure how to describe it. It's very soft, but has sort of a fuzzy appearance up close (unlike the super smooth Piko fabric) and looks like it could possibly pill. The cuffs aren't excessively loose which is good because I ordered the 3/4 on purpose because I can't stand loose sleeves at my wrists. I might get brave and try ordering Frumos' full long sleeve next if this one holds up well. I am 5'7" and the sleeves hit me about 3.75 inches from my wrist joint. The hem length is a perfect few inches below my butt like a tunic should fall. I found the back of the shirt actually skimmed and hid my back fat quite nicely. The material is pretty thin so it's not very warm on its own. It would actually be perfect for fall, spring, or early summer (depending on where you live. Here in the South, May and on is very hot and I'm not sure how this material would hold up to a lot of sweating and humidity. I might update when the weather starts to warm). Overall I'm really pleased with it because I've always thought it was insane to pay $35+ for a Piko shirt but I do like the versatility and simplicity of the garment. Plus it's nearly impossible to find XL Pikos outside of overpriced boutiques. Take a chance on this shirt, I think you'll be glad you did! I attached a couple pictures because I know those help to visualize!
