I have been looking for a collagen peptide product that is tasteless and improve skin health. At first, I was wondering why the dosage (2.5g) is way smaller than other collagen peptides (10g), so I reached out to their customer service for an answer. This is what I learned: "This product is created using a patented process that uses enzymes to extract precise collagen peptides (tiny strands of protein) that are specifically recognized by the fibroblast cells in the dermal layer of the skin. This is a patented process that other collagen powders have not been through and the results were demonstrated in a number of clinical studies. In one study, it was found to increase skin procollagen by 65% after 8 weeks of use. It also showed significant improvements in terms of skin elasticity, eye wrinkle depth, nail strength, growth and more. These studies found 2.5g to be the optimal dose of this patented collagen powder for these specific benefits. Because of the unique process this collagen has been through, you can expect to see better results with skin and nails than you would with 10 or 15 grams of a generic collagen powder." This product is tasteless compared to the regular collagen peptides. The dosage is only one-fourth of what I used to take so I am able to enjoy my coffee without too much of texture change. While this product is targeted for skin, hair, and nail, this is type 1 and type 3 collagen that also helps joint health. I am going to try this out for 4 months and will an update on my progress.
