Sorbus Acrylic Cosmetics Makeup and Jewelry Storage Case X-Large Display Sets -Interlocking Scoop Drawers to Create Your Own Specially Designed Makeup Counter -Stackable and Interchangeable I had probably browsed 20 pages of acrylic organizers before deciding to purchase this one. I decided on this one for a number of reasons 1) the aesthetic - it is the most clean looking. I hated all of the organizers that had handles on the drawers, the scoop drawers and lack of handles really appealed to the look that I was going for 2) the size - it was hard to tell from pictures but I was confident that this organizer would be more than enough space to hold ALL of my products 3) the compartments - I have included pictures of my setup before receiving this product so you can see what a mess getting read was in the morning, NOTHING in my previous setup was organized. I loved this product for all of the different compartments and potential to organize all of my products in a way that would make getting ready easier and faster in the morning and 4) the price - I was looking for something comparable to the GLAMluxe makeup box, which is $200+, but without the ridiculous price tag. This product was the closest thing I could find. I read a TON of the reviews on this product and was worried about a number of things which will all be addressed in this review along with pictures: 1) PACKAGING/SHIPPING - I read reviews that people received their item cracked/damaged which worried me since I live in an apartment and thing are often just left in the mail room without any regard to the contents of the box and it is often very hard to file a claim/return a package that is damaged. Let me just start by saying I purchased this item on December 20, 2016 around 11am and RECEIVED it via UPS by NOON the next day, That's insane to me. Less than 25 hours, absolutely unheard of even for amazon. I have included pictures of the packaging when I received my order. I thoroughly inspected every piece before being completely satisfied that nothing had been damaged in the move to my apartment. Each piece was enclosed inside of styrofoam pieces that fit snugly inside of the box so there was no moving around during transit. Every unit was also plastic wrapped so the drawers weren't sliding around inside of the box which I really appreciated because you wouldn't want to have a broken drawer, that's just as bad as having a completely broken item. 2) SIZE - when I first opened this product and put everything together I was very surprised at how much larger this was than I expected, I fit EVERYTHING from my first set up into this product. I've included a picture of each individual drawer to show how much space was left after I put everything in. I have 3 drawers that are almost completely empty and there is nowhere in the whole organizer that is completely full. This organizer is deceiving, it can hold so much more than expected. 3) MATERIAL - I was worried this was going to be cheaply made, while this product is still not cheap, it is the most affordable option in relation to its size. I wasn't sure if this was going to be comparable to other brands that are much more expensive. I was extremely surprised at the high quality within this product. I have had individual acrylic organizers/baskets from the Container Store (which retail from around $15-$30 a set) and these are just as well made if not more. The material is very sturdy does not feel as if it will crack/break easily. 4) DRAWERS - I was worried that these drawers would fall out if pulled to quickly or that they would become hard to open with more stuff inside of them but I have not found this to be an issue at all. They slide in and out extremely easily and do not fall of the track when left open like some other organizers, they are extremely easy to maneuver and I love the fact that they remove all the way which makes for easy cleaning/wiping down if there is a mess of some sort. 5) THE ONLY CON: SIZE/DEPTH OF DRAWERS and TOP COMPARTMENT - This is the only part about the organizer that I can complain about; none of the reviews I read mentioned anything about the size/depth of the drawers and what types of products would be able to fit in which kinds of drawers so I wanted to take a minute to discuss these. I guess I could've figured it out by measuring the products I have and comparing them to the depth of the drawers but that seemed like a lot of work. I was hoping that bottles of foundation would be able to sit upright in the two tallest drawers however they are just a little bit too tall so they have to be stored sideways. But my Ben Nye Banana Powder (which is quite a messy product) is able to be stored upright in the drawer which makes keeping the mess confined to one area so much easier. I was also hoping that single pan eye shadows and round products in pots such as cream eye shadows and Anastasia dipbrow would be able to lay sideways in the compartments on the top. They are just a little too wide and do not fit in the actual compartment, they do fit on top of the compartment without a problem as shown in the last couple of photos. I just wish these compartments were just a little bit wider so the products could fit inside of them. You can store the products in these compartments if you turn them sideways but I find this is a huge waste of space and that storing them on top doesn't impact me that much. It's just something nit picky that I found. I also wish that some of the compartments on the top were deeper, the two compartments on the back left hand side of the top organizer are where I am storing my foundations/ concealers. I wish there were more compartments such as these for pencils/brushes instead of the really shallow small compartments at the front of the organizer. I think this would be a way more effective use of space. Overall I am EXTREMELY, satisfied by my purchase and will definitely be purchasing more from the Sorbus brand to organize the rest of my bathroom/apartment.
