In terms of their ability to roll smoothly, these do well. However, after only four months the outer, clear surface material has worn through and there are black streaks being left all over the kitchen tile floor. These are not your common scuffs as from shoes. The streaks are actually greasy and get smeared around by traffic, not to mention being tracked onto the living room carpeting. Very poor allocation of my dollars. UPDATE: May 2018 ... I have to recant my words above. I have finally figured out my problem and it is related to the fact that, unlike most people, I am using this--chair and therefore these wheels--in the kitchen. The greasy black streaks are, in fact spread by the wheels--but--they do not come from the wheels. When I fry foods and get grease overspray on the tile floor, the wheels pick this up. Then, when I roll across the floor, the dirt that is naturally on the wheels just from normal foot traffic in and out of the house, is deposited on the tile creating the streaks. I apologize for criticizing this product. There is virtually nothing wrong with the wheels. It just took me months to finally figure out what was happening. Moreover, the company, having read my evaluation, contacted me immediately and sent me a new set of wheels so their service was also excellent.
