no 3.5mm input jack, ipod dock is lightning connector, not 30 pin
Great sound quality, attractive looking, overall great system, but it doesn't have a 3.5mm audio jack input, which is really stupid. this doesn't bother me because it didn't plan on using one. the iPod dock is a lightning connector instead of a 30 pin connector, so you can only use it with newer iPods/iPhones. you can still connect an older iPod or iPhone with a 30 pin connector with the charge cable connected to the USB port, and it works exactly how it would in the dock. None of these problems really bother me, but the specifications of this system aren't very clear on Amazon, the lightning connector and no 3.5 mm audio jack could make this useless for some people. The audio quality is great, which is the main reason for buying a audio system, not all the bells and whistles, so that's why I gave it 4 stars
