I buy from Amazon almost weekly and almost never write reviews. I decided to review this item because there were only 2 reviews and, for that reason, I almost bought a much more costly product. I have two small dogs who use stairs to get into my bed. Their whole lives they used stairs that were a sheepskin type material stretch over a plastic frame. The plastic frame cracked so I had to replace the product. I knew I did not want another set that used any kind of material. I also have cats and the pet hair would quickly build up on the old stairs. These stairs are perfect. They come ready-to-use right out of the box. I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness of them. I also love that they actually have sides. The stairs have a soft,rubbery material on them to cushion feet and sound. If your dogs are very tiny, elderly or infirm, be aware that they may have to do small jump from the top step if you are using these for a bed as opposed to a couch. Not an issue for healthy animals. If your pet is used to using stairs, they should have no issues using or adapting to these, especially if you are putting them where they are used to using them.
