Sized correctly for standard pillow, these pillow covers are very good quality. I cut a down comforter as carefully as possible to fit a smaller bed. As you can imagine, it was a messy proposition (even though I sewed 2 seams about 3/8" apart and cut down the middle). The cut away part was going to be tossed, but I noticed it was the same width as the pillows, so I rolled it up and stuck in one of these pillow covers, hoping that the down would ALL stay inside (but not confident). But after zipping it up in the Niagara pillow cover, the "new pillow" has not shown any sign of leaking, and surprisingly, my husband prefers to use it (without knowing how it came to be). Ha ha. I also have a few comfortable pillows that have stains (that washing did not remove) that I did not want to give to sleep over company. But these pillow covers do not let the stains show though and make the pillow look like new.
