Excellent Exercise Bike with a few flaws
The great:
First thing out of the way, this bike is heavy duty and well constructed. Im 6'1 280 lb and this holds me with no issue.
It has some easy to adjust knobs to control the tension so you can push yourself a little harder.
Everything on it is pretty easy to adjust.
It was really simple to put together.
The meh:
The little digital screen is meh at best, but it does track the important things like time, speed, pulse and a guess on calories.
The seat is ok. For me, it isn't very comfortable but it isn't killing me either.
This Bike is more of a Spinning Bike than a Stationary Bike.
Sure, it can be both, but it feels more inclined toward Spinning.
The not so good:
The handle bar positioning and height adjustment leave a lot to be desired
They are designed for leaning all the way forward like when spinning, or riding a racing bike.
Heres where that can be uncomfortable. If you are tall, you have to adjust the seat height to the highest position so you aren't folding your knees in half when you pedal.
But the Handle Bars don't raise high enough to match the seat height comfortably when the seat is at its highest.
This means, you have to hold the top crossbar to sit up somewhat straight, or go completely hands free to sit up perfectly straight.
The easiest fix would have been to make the adjustable post for the handle bars about 6 inches longer.
This would allow a tall person to raise the handlebar height above the seat height enough so they don't have to lean all the way forward.
The other handlebar issue is the pulse tracker will NOT work unless you have both hands on the handlebars in the farthest lean forward position.
Again, much too far forward for comfort. The pulse tracking pads should be on the rear handle bar crossbar as well as the forward position so you don't have to lean forward all the time to get cardio measure.
Summary:
The Bike is a great ride and well worth the money.
The Bike feels like its sturdy enough to outlast me :)
I use it daily and have no issues getting my workout in.
With all the Bikes out there to choose from, sometimes its option overload and hard to make a choice.
Hopefully my experience will help you decide.
