Perfect. Solid. Heavy. Exactly What It Says It Is.
Like many others, I read the negative reviews before ordering. My adivce: don't put too much stock in them. Now, I admit it is a legitimate concern/critique of the product if you buy multiple units of the "same" color at once and the colors don't match. I can't speak to that. I only bought one. But some of the others I read?? Really? Claiming that it was despicably advertised as a styrofoam beanbag chair (which it wasn't), or that it has no filling and you fall to the floor? Really people? Did you not read the directions? It should be seen as a positve that they vacuum pack the sucker into an amazingly small box (considering the final size of the product) to cut on their shipping costs (and to make it possible to move the box around). It clearly states in the included information that you have to WAIT for it it attain its full expanded shape. Right away, you can get your hands "in there" and knead the memory foam blocks inside, pulling them apart (through the supple cover of course) and shifting them so that the expansion goes as fast as possible but no matter what ... you have to WAIT. They will continue to expand for some time - not exactly sure but I wouldn't be surprised if there was still some expansion going on at 7 or 8 days. One fact that people need to be aware of though (and some other reviewers have mentioned) is that this thing is BIG and it is unwieldy. Memory foam is heavy. I haven't weighed it on a scale but it would not surprise me to learn it is 20 - 30 lbs. and its size and composition makes that feel more like 50 or 60 lbs. So, even though it is a FANTASTIC chair/bag for kids, it isn't going to be easy for many of them to adjust/move it. In fact, smaller people with little hand/arm/upper body strength probably don't want to own this unless they have someone else living with them who can help them with it. My athletic and rather strong 9-year old niece man-handled (or should I say girl-handled) the thing around but she's a tough, "get it done" kind of kid and wasn't intimidated by the awkward size or weight of the thing. The younger kids could barely shift it. To really enjoy using it, you have to be ready each time to reach in with both hands, grab the material and lift the bag up and down many times vigorously. You have to slam it, flip it, shake it, fluff it up, and mold it to a form that suits you. If you want to lie on it, hop in the middle. If you want to sit upright and watch TV, you have to heap it up high and then sit low down on the edge of the thing and push yourself backwards into it. Experiment. Have fun. Don't be shy about yanking the sucker around. One last note. Memory foam stinks. It isn't exactly a pleasant smell (though some find it more offensive than others of course) and it takes days ... perhaps weeks ... to dissipate. It didn't bother me much and obviously I'm not the kind of person to give the bag 1 star and rant about how the company lied to me because it didn't go out of its way to call out the smell specifically. I'm just trying to let anyone interested know that it does smell but it fades.
