The battery kit arrived on time and is a very nice kit. The kit was nicely laid out with the battery and all of the tools in their own foam cutout. The instructions were clear and included pictures for each step. After doing this I would recommend one additional step which would be to discharge the old battery by leaving the phone on until the phone shuts down. I say this because the battery is glued down to the phone very tightly. When I was prying up the battery, it shorted internally and burst into a 2 foot wall of flame. It was so hot I dropped it where it fell on the carpet and continued to burn as the carpet melted beneath it. I thought my phone was fried for sure but luckily I was able to clean of the char with some alcohol, install the new battery, and presto all was still working fine. I got lucky. Anyway, if the battery is discharged before you start to pry it off, it may still get hot or even burn but it shouldn't have as much energy to release as it would if it is fully charged. You should also consider performing the repair away from items that could catch on fire. I hope my misfortune might help others from repeating my mistake.
