I gave up trying to constantly repair my litter robot 3. the litter robot had no competitors for a decade, and while it made our lives SO much better, it also was highly flawed. I had issues with corrosion, circuit boards getting wet from pee. sensors failing. too many sensors causing huge reliability issues. I'm here to say this unit is better -in every capacity. It's more sealed. its' dead quiet. the app is useful. the deodorizer works (so you can use those hippie green eco litters that sound great but smell awful). it handles weird litter types no problem. It's also easier to clean and maintain. everything about the design is well thought out, which will vastly improve its longevity over a LR3. The smaller entrance means less litter on the floor. It does appear smaller than LR3, but I would wager the actual volume/capacity are similar, if not parity. If you're debating purchase because it looks too small, it isn't.
